Decision Day

Most likely by the end of the day Ken Griffey Jr. will either be a Mariner or a Brave. Things look hopeful for the Braves as Atlanta is close to Griffey's home in Orlando, the Braves have more money to spend, Atlanta is in a better position to contend for a playoff spot and Griffey reportedly initiated the talks with the Braves though a phone call to Chipper Jones. I'm terrified of jinxing it though so I don't want to seem overconfident. There's a very good chance he could sign with Seattle and that would be ok. He's probably going to sign there anyway. He started his career there and it would be a nice homecoming. Nope. not gonna get cocky and jinx it. Nope. Not gonna.

Oh who am I kidding.

Fuck You

Fuck You

Fuck You

Aaaaaaaand...

Fuck

You.

How can Griffey refuse THAT?

I'd be pleading too if the alternative was signing Moises Alou.

Of course, L.A. has Juan Pierre in left right now.

Kinda looks like his old man on that last card.

rotoworld says The Seattle Times reports that Ken Griffey Jr. and the Braves have agreed to terms on a one-year contract "worth between $2 and $3 million in total compensation."

Flash I sure hope you are right.
It would be awesome news! I love Griffey and I love the Braves. I have been a fan since 1980.

Hope the report is right. I hope you get him. As one lone Mariner fan, I am ecstatic that he is not coming back here. I hope he lasts more than a month or two in the ATL. Now maybe the M's can go after someone younger, and not such a selfish a**.

I hope you get Jr. in Atlanta - it would be a nice transition to the next HR king since Hank Aaron.

(unless the impossible happens and he's on the list of 103)

cheers
