The most ridiculous card to come out of an Allen & Ginter Pack - Day 1

I have very little time to do this (no time, actually) but I feel it must be done. The most ridiculous/expensive card to come out of 2009 Allen & Ginter as of 7:00am Eastern this morning is....

An autograph of a 9 year old guitar player. And you were all mad at Beckett exploiting Bryce Harper. Is the card worth it? Check out Yuto on Ellen and decide for yourself.

I didn't think the guitarist from Guitar Hero deserved to be in it either.

I can solve the Rubix cube and once ate 50 hot wings at Hooters. Can I have a card?

Cards like these are why I'm still so hesitant to pick up any more than the occasional pack of A&G. I really don't feel like spending decent money to pull crap like this...

I do like the look of the base set, and the relic/auto inserts are nice, but truly feel that Topps is getting a bit carried away with some of these "gimmick" cards (though I know they're not gimmicks in the sense that the word is normally used within the hobby... or maybe they are).

Randy Rhodes he's not. But then again, who is?
We all know A&G is filled with crap we don't care about. This is year 4. Nothing's changed. And yet we still continue to buy it.
It's our fault.

See, it's cards like this that make Ginter great. While most people buying Ginter will not care much about the card, pulling such a thing is 1) intersting, 2) like hitting the lottery. It's essentially a free pass -- when the card is sold -- to buy more Ginter. What other product offers that kind of satisfaction and instant value?

FYI- The guitarist from Guitar Hero is in the Rock Hall Of Fame, has his own pro model guitar with Gibson, owns a Ferarri and is worth more than you'll ever fathom Mario. Quit hatin' on musicians and concentrate on chasin' b-list athletes for autographs.

I don't hate on musicians. I've known many who drive fancy cars does that mean they belong on a trading card?

As for the Hall of Fame, when was he inducted? Or does he just have a guitar featured?

How many people knew him before the silly Guitar Hero franchise bought him that Ferrari?

A&G gets a free pass with me on this stuff. Other sets try to pull it, and it's junk. But because of the history of A&G putting non-sports cards in their set and the fact that the whole thing is so well-done, it doesn't bother me at all. In fact cards like this and the Billy the Marlin card make me smile.

Like the Captain said, you know this stuff is going to be in A&G every year (they were showing bird cards in A&G in the 1880s for cripes sake). Why is this a surprise?

Maybe the choice of who they put in the set could be tweaked a bit, but really if you're bothered by stuff like this, than A&G isn't for you.
