Trader Dayf

I just realized something...

The code cards. The real fun is not in redeeming them...

The redemptions are just raw material.

The real fun is in...

TRADING.

Topps has hit a Grand friggin' SLAM with this one.

Is ToppsTown this fun? I saw something about collecting virtual cards there too...

Damn, I need more codes Need More Codes NEEDMORECODES

The problem is the lack of profiles and or being able to see which card is assigned to which user. If my trade for one bill russell card fails I want to be able to shoot for another one and not be asking the same guy twice (like the guy who keeps offering me 5 1987 cards for one of my 1952 cards) . Also the fact that it doesn't tell you which trades were denied, they just disappear. If everyone could see what cards I had (or see a profile that says i like Dodgers and 60's cards) trades could be more complex and efficient. I have a lot more ideas/complaints but.. yeah. I am totally addicted to their site.

I've enjoyed collecting the ToppsTown virtual sets since they started. I've got complete sets of the '08 and '09 version and I'm halfway to a 2010 set without trading once so far.

the trading over there is a bit clunky, but it's not that bad.

I was shocked to find out today that someone actually wanted one of my cards.

Big moment for me.

I tried out Topps Town last year and enjoyed the hell out of it. The process of trading is 99% the same with a couple enhancements that perhaps the MCG could benefit from.
I built an entire second set of '09 Topps Town through trades.

As others have said, the trading is fun, but it needs some improvement. I wish there were e-mail notifications when someone offered you a trade. I know that a bunch of people probably logged in, redeemed their codes and that's it. They aren't going back until they have more codes or want to have their cards shipped to them.

Unfortunately, I doubt we'll see any improvements to the site at this point, but one can dream.
