The 792: Gallery 415-432

What is the 792 ?

Here's the deal - The 792 is an imaginary Topps Archives set from the mind of Ben Henry that is a 'best of' the 80's. Ben looked through the checklists of all 10 sets and chose one card from each number as a representative sample of the decade. There are superstars, scrubs, managers, team cards, All-Stars, rookies and even a few highlights. When Ben first had the idea, I offered to scrounge my collection and images of the cards I had. Since it's Ben's baby I'm not providing commentary, but you can get some of that on The Baseball Card Blog.

I'm posting the images in groups of 18, enough to fit in one plastic sheet (possibly a side loader). The cards are inexpensive enough that it would be pretty easy to build your own set. I'll happily accept any missing scans and give you credit for them. Here's sheet #24 in the binder for you to enjoy on a Friday afternoon.

Mike Schmidt thrusting his crotch at the camera man in the '87 card always makes me uncomfortable.
