Good to see Drop Dead Fred (and Rick from The Young Ones) still alive and rousing some rabble. Never thought that he'd be the one to turn out some Henry Five and embody the spirit of St. George's Cross.
It cracks me up that every four years, the United Kingdom is just a little more dis-united in having to root for England, specifically.
Wales (one qualification in 1958), Northern Ireland (3 appearances, last one in 1986), and Scotland (eight tournaments, last one in 1998) rarely make the World Cup Finals, so good for Rik in trying to round up some Great British fervor for the English side.

Don't admit that you would root for "them" if you stand in Sam's Army - they might rend you limb from limb.
If you look closely at the USA's jerseys for the World Cup - it has "Don't Tread on ME" sewn under the crest inside the shirt.
In addition, the NIKE design has a sash across the front is a reminder what happened the only time the two countries met in the World Cup:
