I'm very happy about them locking up Freeman up long term. And I'm glad they didn't give Heyward a long term deal. Still waiting for him to live up to his potential...
what worries me about this deal, and yes, I'm a pessimist. Is that Jason is now done his arbitration years. So in two years, providing he's healthy, he's gone. no way the Bravos under current ownership will pay him what he'll get on the open market.
so I guess I just have to enjoy the next two years. Watching 3-4 Braves games a year thanks to that idiot Selig and his exclusive tv contracts..........
No no Captain...you've got it all wrong. With the pending move to Cobb County, the team will break all attendance records the next two years while the owners decide to open their wallet (since it's already open with the new stadium and all) and pay the big bucks to keep Heyward, who's coming off back to back seasons w/ earth shattering numbers.
