More Completed Sticker Pages

These are from 2011, obviously. No completed 2012 sticker pages yet. I held off on posting these until I got my package mailed to Long Fly Ball to Because off since he completed two of them. No 'before' scan because a) I don't know where they are since I'm trying to reorganize my image folders and b) I don't have time to look for 'em. I got sloppy with the scanning too. Hey! I didn't get off work until an hour ago! this was a long day!

I just stuck these stickers earlier this afternoon and I have no idea which stucker I sticked. I'm not even 100% that I completed the Nats page... pretty sure I stuck Grady Sizemore. Wait, that page isn't even finished. I'M SO CONFUSED.

White Sox page I know I finished. Carlos Quentin finished this one up. Braves fans were calling for Frank Wren to trade for Q all offseason to fill our hole in left field. For the second year in a row, Frank filled that hole by trading for a slugging infielder and parking Prado back out in left. Hey, it almost worked last year...

I have no idea who completed this page with the Zobrist sticker because I found it inside a top loader that had an Allen & Ginter Ascent of Man card in it. What can I say, I'm disorganized. Thanks whoever sent me that sticker!

Filled page. I had 6 of those damn Rajai Davis stickers. I trade 'em off and they still keep showing up on my desk.

Anthony Rizzo's got a sticker though. Why only one pitcher per team?

It's time to Stick the Stickers - Giganto Sticker Dump

I got a large package of stickers from Giants fan Adam Smith. Adam was fortunate enough to be the first package I received after Chris Harris' stickah bipping so he managed to complete no less than seven pages. I was going to post these one at a time but what's the point of padding my post count like that? Two-thirds of the NL Central was wiped out in one fell swoop.

I think Astros poster boy Hunter Pence was a Phillie by the time this set was released. I might be wrong.

Completed. I want a sticker update series with Bourn in a Braves uni now.

The Brewers' page features who else - Ryan Braun.

None of these stickers looke like they were pasted in right. It's making me a little nauseous.

The Cubs make my blood pressure rise so I try to avoid them as much as possible. I think that's Aramis Ramirez there?

Or maybe it's Marlon Byrd. I dunno, man.

I was certain the Rangers would win the World Series when their sticker team set was completed before the Cardinals. Certain, I say! I am a superstitious eeediot.

I spent entirely too long trying to decide if this was Joy Votto or Jay Bruce before I saw the VOTTO on the back of the jersey.

Dangit, Brandon Phillips is too good a player to be stuck sideways. I wish the stickers actually fit in the spaces.

It's time to Stick the Stickers - A's, Giants and Legends

A package form Chris Harris arrived in the mail a few days ago.

I HAZ BEEN STICKAH-BIPPED

The bippery resulted in a large chunk being wiped off my want list and three completed pages.

Oakland A's blank page poorly scanned. Kurt Suzuki in full gear is the poster child for A's stickers.I almost feel bad covering this one up with stickers.

And complete. Yep I do feel bad. Kurt looks like he's disgusted with me.

 Off to the other side of the bay, we have the Giants. Lincy is the the Giants' representative.

And stuck. Miguel Tejada looks really out of place right smack in the middle of the page.

Shiny Legends page! I don't know what stadium this is, but it looks cool.

I guess Joe D is playing shortstop. Two-thirds of the page is Dodgers and Yankees. I feel fortunate to be a fan of one of the lesser teams allowed to have a representative on this page.

My team logo sticker page was also completed by Chris, but that'll have to wait for another post.

Why are off days the most stressful ones of the week? I got 20 19 things to do (finished one while writing up this post) and all I want to do is go to sleep. I was starting to stress about not having a post up tonight since I probably won't get one up tomorrow morning either, then I remembered I hadn' posted my Braves sticker page yet! Sticky deliverance! Here's the unstuck page featuring my beloved Sophomore Slumper.

J-Hey! The franchise savior! The guy who had a terrible awful year and was still the best outfielder on the team! I really need to start snapping up his cards this offseason before he remembers how to hit in 2012. I'm also hating myself for not trading my Topps Giveaway Strasburg for the Heyward die-cut. I've managed to flip the Markakis for Tim Hudson, but no one is biting on any of my Heyward offers. Greed, for the lack of a better term, is bad. Here's the completed page:

Note every sticker is pasted cockeyed because Topps just couldn't bother to make the sticker and the space for the sticker on the album the same size. I think Clay Luraschi was bullied by a kid with OCD when he was in elementary school. That's the only explanation I can think of for decisions like screwing up the Topps Base set every single year, making card numbers unreadable with random font sizes and printing a sticker album where the spaces for the stickers are a different size from the actual stickers. And gradient borders to boot? You people are driving your customers to drink. HEAVILY.

Ok, if you are reading this you've missed your shot at scavenging my stickers to complete your set. I've got a healthy pile of doubles so I might have something you need if you want to shoot me a wantlist, but no more stickers will go out of the main set. Ze want list, she is finalized.

Never buy sticker packs from two separate boxes if you can help it. This pack was a complete dupe and managed to give me my FOURTH Rajai Davis sticker. No foil sticker was bad, but the McLouth duplicate Brave was just cruel.

Image dump now while I get the wantlist together. Two mare pages are filled in the album. Three, actually. The Braves get their own post... I'm not having them associate with Junior Circuit rabble.

Didn't even bother to crop these images, I'm in such a hurry to post these things and be done with it. I technically completed the Twins page first, but I stuck the Royals stickers to the album first so they get top billing. Also, R comes before T so Blogger uploaded the images in this order and I'm super lazy. Billy Butler is the Royals' cover girl in the album.

And stuck. The fact that the stickers and the spaces on the page for the stickers are different sizes is going to drive me mad. I expect my break with reality to hit as soon as I start sticking the foil stickers and I ruin my Aaron trying to re-center it 14 times.

Twins unstuck. I have no clue who this guy is because the number is not visible in the photo. It doesn't help that their three big bats are generic looking clean-shaven white guys who use too much eye black. Someone grow a mustache for @$%! sake!

LOL just realized 6 hours later that I misspelled 'white' as 'shite'. Guess I'm still bitter over 1991, eh?

Still can't tell who the heck that is. His face is covered up now so it won't bug me any more. THE OFF CENTER STICKERS IS ENOUGH TO BUG ME PLENTY.

Penultimate Sticksee

Here's the second to last sticker pack post. It was supposed to be the last one, but I grabbed a couple more packs to make it an even 40. This next part is very important:

He demands a wantlist and  knows where I live. If I don't have that sucker up soon Bad Things will happen. I don't fear for myself, mind you, but I have ponies to look after now. Basically my wantlist depends on your wantlist so if you has one please can I has too? I've got two so far and more are welcome.

Rushing a bit because I gotta leave for little league in about an hour. I hope the opposing team's parents don't punch me for waving in the winning run around third a little too exuberantly last week.  The only thing to say about this pack is that with Dan The Man Uggla, my Braves sticker set is COMPLETE.

EDIT - Upon further review the Michael Cuddyer sticker also completed the Twins page. I was too bedazzled by Uggla to notice.



Ok, that video annoyed even me. After about 5 minutes or so it starts sounding like an experimental jazz composition for violin, tympani and mouth harp. Yes, I listened to the whole thing. I'm not going to subject you to something I wouldn't be willing to go through myself.

Typing up this post literally as I'm getting ready to leave for work so minimal commentary today.

The Orioles was the second completed page in the album. Oriole page model Brian Matusz apparently just had one of the worst pitching seasons in history. Hey, John Smoltz sucked as a rookie too.

And complete. I hate the border frames for the stickers. Who puts gradient borders in a sticker album?? I don't think I've gotten one sticker centered properly yet.

Sticky seconds

Nope, still don't wanna scan any cartoons. More stickers for you! Besides, I've been telling people that I'm gonna get a wantlist for this set together for weeks and I may as well just sit down, crack open a beer, listen to some tunes and finish up all these posts tonight. Since I haven't gotten any comments on the Pinkie Pie Nyan Cat video yet, you all apparently like the madness so here's something even more annoyingly awesome. I just wish this one looped for an hour.

The only duplicate in the pack was the shiny Jackie Robinson. I'm ok with this. Milestone with this pack: the set is now 2/3rd complete. Also: I only need 101 stickers (with the dual logo stickers counting as two) to complete the album. Also also: Another team page is now complete. You'll have to wait to see which.

No dupes at all in this pack. The Ryan Howard is sticker #8 of 9 for the Phillies. One thing concerning me is that one of those stickers is included in the album. Of the 6 included with the album I've already pulled 4 out of packs. I'm not sure if I want to peel off just one sticker off the sheet of 6 to fill the album. I should probably decide how I'm going to handle that soon. Just so you know it's going to be a Cardinals/Rangers World Series because I'm rooting for the Brewers and Tigers. I apologize to the states of Michigan and Wisconsin.
