Back in 1991 I was playing in a fantasy baseball league. We were allowed to draft from the minor leagues. One guy drafted Chipper. This would have been in the spring of 1991The rest of us didn't know who he was. He had to wait until 1994 for any production from Jones, but theguy had him real cheap.
Back then I didn't know enough about the minor leagues to draft a minor leaguer. Brien Taylor, what a flame out he was. There's been a lot of talk on the blogs recently about rookie card short prints. Taylor's card may have been the first. Although the card wasn't short-printed (as far as I know), Topps had him under exclusive contract. So your could only get his card through Topps.

That man will have a special place at our dinner table on Christmas...
Awesome post. Did you pull that auto?
Bye bye Smoltzie!
Bought it and the blue Chipper on ebay for a buck.
Also, to all you people out there hating on Smoltzie, I wish upon you a raging case of elephantine genital warts contracted from Rosie O'Donnell.

Just to be clear, I wasn't hating on Smoltz. Just remarking that he was out for the season.
