HAVEN'T BEEN TO A CARD SHOW IN MANY MONTHS BUT I STILL GOT A NICE BACKLOG OF SCANS TO SHOW OFF SO HERE YA GO
2013 PANINI COOPERSTOWN MAX CAREY LUMBERJACKS
2013 PANINI WAS PRETTY LEGIT. THEY DID A BUNCH OF INTERESTING PRODUCTS THAT I REALLY LIKED. NOT SO MUCH RECENTLY. COOPERSTOWN WAS A FUN SET OF HALL OF FAMERS AND LEGENDS THAT YA JUST DON'T SEE ANYMORE. AS WITH ALL RECENT PRODUCTS THE INSERTS AND PARALLELS WERE INSANE. THERE WAS A 165 CARD ONE PER PACK INSERT SET WHEN THE BASE SET WITH SPS WAS ONLY 110. LUMBERJACKS WAS TWO PER BOX AND ONLY 100 CARDS THANKFULLY. THESE THINGS ARE PRINTED ON FAKE(?) WOOD STOCK AND FEEL KINDA BRITTLE
MAX IS BEST KNOWN FOR HIS SPEED AND NOT HIS BAT AND HELD THE NL STEALS RECORD UNTIL LOU BROCK CAME ALONG. MAX'S CAREER FELL RIGHT IN BETWEEN THE T206 AND '33 GOUDEY SETS SO THERE AIN'T A WHOLE LOT OF CARDS FOR HIM FROM HIS PLAYING DAYS. A T207, A CRACKER JACK AND SOME STRIP CARDS. HIS HALL OF FAME INDUCTION GOT HIM ON QUITE A FEW LATER SETS BUT IT'S STILL NICE TO SEE A MODERN CARD OF ONE OF THE MORE OBSCURE HALL OF FAMERS
1991 STUDIO JEFF BAGWELL
PRETTY SURE I SAID IT ON TWITTER AT THE TIME AND I'MMA SAY IT AGAIN.
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CARD DOING IN A DIME BOX????
IN 1991 THIS CARD WAS LIKE FINDING A ROLL OF HUNDREDS STUFFED INSIDE THE HOLY GRAIL SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT OF A MASERATI WITH THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION
OK MAYBE NOT THAT BUT IT WAS A BIG FUCKING DEAL
MAN I LOVE THIS SET SO MUCH. YOU DON'T SEE SETS LIKE THIS NOWADAYS. OH WAIT, WE DID... FROM PANINI.... IN 2013. I WISH IT WAS 2013 AGAIN. THE BACK OF THIS CARD TELLS US JEFF WAS FROM BOSTON, WAS DRAFTED BY BOSTON, HAD CARL YASTRZEMSKI AS HIS HERO AND WATCHED CHEERS. AND THE RED SOX TRADED HIM TO HOUSTON. THIS UNIVERSE IS WEIRD
1994 PINNACLE DANTE BICHETTE MUSEUM COLLECTION
THIS CARD LOOKS LIKE AN ANIME. AND IT'S CRAZIER IN PERSON I ASSURE YOU. MY GOD PINNACLE DID SOME DAMN WORK IN THE 90S
1994 WAS SUCH A GOOD YEAR FOR CARDS AND IT ALL WENT TO SHIT AND EVERYTHING WAS IN EXTREMELY DISCOUNTED CLEARANCE BINS BY 1995 AND IT WAS NEVER THE SAME AGAIN. PINNACLE WAS A NICE LITTLE SET BEFORE THEY WENT ALL CRAZY WITH THE FOIL. I KNOW I'LL NEVER DO IT BUT THE THOUGHT OF BUILDING A MUSEUM SET IS INTRIGUING
2018 TOPPS TIM RAINES SOME KINDA DAMN INSERT
I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL THIS INSERT SET IS, THERE'S LIKE 150 CARDS IN THE SET AND THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT THINGS LIKE LEGENDARY ALL-STARS AND ROOKIE STANDOUTS AND FATHER'S DAY UGLY HATS AND STUFF LIKE THAT WITH NO UNIFYING THEME. THIS IS TIME RAINES IN THE POWDER BLUES AND THAT EXPOS LOGO SO IT IS GLORIOUS ALL BY ITSELF
I HAVE NO MEMORY OF THIS ALL-STAR GAME ALTHOUGH I DO REMEMBER BACK WHEN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE COULD ACTUALLY WIN A FUCKING GAME. I AM VERY HAPPY TIM RAINES FINALLY MADE THE HALL. I AM BESET WITH ANXIETY ABOUT THIS YEAR'S BALLOT TO THE POINT I AM IGNORING THE ELECTION PROCESS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A WHILE. I JUST HOPE LOU GETS IN, THAT'S ALL I ASK
1992 UPPER DECK HEROES OF BASEBALL TIGERS HOLOGRAM
ONE OF THE LAZIEST THINGS I HAVE DONE IN MY LIFE IS NOT PROPERLY COLLECTED ALL THE STICKERS I'VE GOTTEN IN VARIOUS BASEBALL CARD PACKS IN MY LIFE. THEY'RE JUST JUMBLED UP IN RANDOM BOXES INSTEAD OF ORGANIZED INTO COMPLETE SETS AND PUT INTO BINDERS TO LOVINGLY PERUSE ON QUIET RAINY SUNDAYS. ESPECIALLY THE UPPER DECK HOLOGRAM STICKERS. MAN, I'VE REALLY NEGLECTED THEM AND JUST THROWN THEM IN ANY OLD BOX TO BE FORGOTTEN FOREVER. THIS PENNANT VARIETY IS FAIRLY UNCOMMON HOWEVER AND WAS WELL WORTH A DIME. I LOVE THAT SURPRISED TIGER LOGO
NO ONE READS BLOGS ON THANKSGIVING, SO I HOPE YOU ATE A LOT OF FOOD AND GOT ALL YOUR SHOPPING DONE AT THE DOORBUSTER SALE!

Ha, ha, what freak would actually leave the house when inside is football and a mountain of food?
Re: The insert set with Raines. Just the weirdest insert set ever. It doesn't even look good.
I'm reading blogs... waiting for the 2nd round of breakfast to open up. Happy Thanksgiving!
