News box

I've put a news box over there --------------------------------------->

This is mainly for promoting contests, giveaways, group projects and the like moreso than actual card news.
You can get that stuff in the blog feeds.

If there's something you'd like to make me aware of that may be News box worthy please leave a comment in this post with the following things:
  1. A link to your post
  2. A brief description
  3. How long it should be up
Rules for the News box:
  • No sales links - this is not Craigslist
  • I haven't decided on group breaks yet. Maybe as long as it doesn't get redonkulous
  • I will add stuff I randomly stumble across often
  • If you're not on the blogroll, post a comment here. I'll have you on within three business days.
  • Gotta be a comment in this post - if it's in another post or you e-mail me, tough crunchies
  • Not everyone's link will get on the News box
  • No whining if it doesn't
  • These rules subject to change at a moment's whim
  • No whining about that either.

Let's try this out and see how it works. .

I was all for it until you said no whining. Wait, I hate whining too...so I am all for it. That's mighty nice of you to be promoting the going's on amongst the bloggers.

'Tough crunchies'? Why I never. No need for profanity, sir, unless you also provide a fainting couch.

dc: I used up my monthly allotment of profanity last weekend.

And how perfect is it that the first link in the comments was from Mr. Spambot?

I'm giving away an autographed Carl Erskine custom card.

I'd also appreciate being added to your blog roll

Actually, nevermind about the contest. someone won already.

I would still like to be added to the roll.

Hey dude.
I'm having another contest, altho there's no danger of this one ending prematurely. I'm "giving away" an original T206 Cy Seymour and a couple of more autographed customs.

Hey, it's a contest for a Steve Wiebe Allen & Ginter autographed card. It ends Sunday. Keep your eyes peeled for a package sometime next week too. No Bips I swear!

Might find this worthy of putting in the news box: I'm giving away a 1958 Topps Hank Aaron/Mickey Mantle card

How about For Card's Sake rookie card contest? We just need to post a rookie card we own/love that isn't auto'd/serial'd/memorabilia'd and then you can win...something!

It's up til the end of July. And it's not my contest obviously, but I entered, and Baseball Cards Come to Life entered, and I figured other people might want to as well.

I am back from the dead and having a contest... The more entries, the better the prizes.

It will run until the 15th of November.

Thank you for your consideration.
