Desperate times call for desperate measures

On my desk is about a dozen random piles of stuff that I need to package and mail out. There's also a half dozen sketch cards/various art pieces that need to be completed and sent and another half dozen ideas in my head that need to get crystallized onto paper. By my accounting, these people are waiting for stuff from me:

Sean L.
Edgar G.
Scott C.
James R.
Andruw K.
Max M.
Matt F.
Tom O.
Paul B.
Jeremy S.
Jeff C.
Rod R.
Paul E.
Marck B.
Brian Rozah- Rosaghy Rzzaggah Captain Canuck

The Dimwit
Phungo

There's probably some more if I double check my e-mail. I gotta get offa my ass and outta my funk and get shit done. Therefore I decree:

UNTIL I GET ALL THESE PACKAGES COMPLETED AND MAILED I SHALL POST NOTHING BUT METS ON THIS BLOG.

I know, it's a terrible thing, but it has to be done.

sweet merciful crap.

ok... no need to panic. This can be done. Now... packages can be stuffed into envelopes at lunch. We could all skip a meal or two, right? Then they can be dropped into the post on tomorrow's lunch.

Now that's taken care of... ideas. They can be jotted down while eating dinner with the fam. It's not like anyone listens to anyone's stories about their day anyway.

Sketch cards... this one's a toughie.
I suggest a wee bit o'brew and an all nighter. Inspiration comes from desperation, right?

Good. Ok. So by tomorrow night, we should be back to normal and no more............ mets. Ugh.

Meet the Mets. Meet the Mets. Step right up and greet the Mets. Bring your kiddies, bring your wife. Guaranteed to have the time of your life. Because the Mets are really socking the ball, hitting those home runs over the wall. East side, west side, everybody's coming down, to meet the M-E-T-S Mets of New York town!

Just trying to get you moving.

Dont worry everyone has a bad time. Take your time just dont post any more mets! Post cubs instead!

As for ideas how about a post on how you first started collecting? At least its something

More Mets! I don't mind. Seriously though it won't matter to me personally if I have to wait a bit more for the cards. I'm in no rush.

Night owl, they changed the opening lines to that song, until further notice (couldn't spell forseeable)

Met the Mets, Beat the Mets, Come on out, Defeat the Mets.

What's the over/under on number of days until we get a pony drawn in a Mets' uniform?

I'll set it at 5.

Oh crap. I left Dawgbones off the list. Do I owe Jim from Downingtown something too?

I JUST DON'T KNOW ANYMORE

(scrambles for cards and envelopes, starts scribbling on sketch cards)

It could be worse --- you could be posting Dodgers

No, you're in the clear. I was just adding my $0.02 vis-a-vis the Mets.

(Good one, Matt!)

I see nothing wrong with this idea. I would go as far to say that it's brilliant!
