Topps football is live. Eighteen other blogs have probably already posted this by now, but it was news to me and I felt it had to be shared. I'm so out of the loop I fully expect to wander dazed and confused into the card aisle at Target one of these days and find Goodwin Champions. In the $1.59 box.
At any rate, I saw a gravity feed of '09 football at the Wally World and picked one up. Why, I don't know. I don't have the time or money to build a set and it's just going to be a rehash of the baseball design anyway, right? Still, I picked up a pack out of habit and ripped in. And found something wonderful....

I picked up two $4.97 packs at my local Wal-Mart. I checked out a few packs and tried to see any Bears cards.
I found one back with the AFL salute George Blanda card. So I picked this one up.
Another pack I found a numbered card showing. I looked closer and it was a Matthew Stafford card. Ipicked this one just for fun. ( the other pack with the Blanda card had a Stafford card in it too!)
I'd like to pick up more singles at a card show soon...I like the photos.
This was actually the first card in the pack so it's aaaaaaaaaall downhill from here.
I'm glad someone else out there exercises their constitutional right to look through rack packs for good cards showing.
That's what rack packs are for. Just leave the wax packs alone...

I love the topps set. I got a Knowshon Moreno SP Variation is selling for around $20 on eBay and I got another Moreno rc in just four packs. I'm attempting to collect the set so swing by my site http://morethancardboard.blogspot.com and see if I have anything you'd be willing to trade commons for. I have Baseball: 09 AG, 08 AG, 07 Sp Rookie ed, 09 score (football), and a lot more just let me know who or what you're collecting. I'm not about to go to my local card guy and pay .75 per common card.
