Noooooooooooo

Mere hours after the AJC posted an article about how Kenshin Kawakami is disappointed that he ended up in the bullpen...

Kris Medlen blew up his elbow. Kris, meet Tommy. Tommy, Kris. Looks like Cow-a-commie's back in the rotation.

Dammit.

David O'Brien is a jinx.

This just completely sucks! No way do they turn to Kawakami at this point; the dude hasn't pitched in what, 1.5 months? I think they'll recall Minor before they turn to Kawi. Let's hope so, anyway...

If Kawakami is not back in the starting rotation after this, they need to DFA him because he's just wasting a roster spot. I wouldn't mind seeing Minor and Freeman up in the bigs sooner rather than later though.

No matter if it is serious enough for TJ surgery or if it's not that serious, Medlen should be shut down for the rest of the season. He's proven he knows how to pitch and Bobby has abused his arm all year. Let the kid rest and come back stronger next year (or 2012 in the worst case scenario)

the highs and lows.... i only got to see 3 innings of tonite's game. I tuned in just in time to see Chippah and BMac go back to back, then left after Dunn came in when Kris did his little dance off of the mound.

Seems like it's going around. The Cards just lost David Freese for the year last night. That probably doesn't sound like much, but he was basically being counted on to return to the everyday 3B job any day now. Now he's starting to resemble Mr. Glass from Unbreakable.
