Why does an American League pitcher have a bat card?

He did have 300 plate appearances with the Marlins.

The Bat was

"used in a major league game or event"

which means that some coach was using it to putt baseballs to the bucket during BP.

Start looking for a Cole Hamels Relic Dayf

Deal, I wouldn't hold your breath on that Cole Hamels Relic Day, besides that he isn't throwing well, Andy Pettitte is a big game pitcher. He has the most wins in postseason history and has a history of pitching gems in the world series.

Cardboard Junkie, do you have any Pettitte relics ready to go for sunday? For that matter, how bout Jeter, he's batting .500 through the first two games!
