Let's get this out of the way first. Bobby Cox will be coming back to manage the Braves next year. Bobby has been hinting that he might be retiring soon for a few years, but despite the dreadful season the team is going through, Bobby is still having fun. I'm glad to see him come back. Next year is going to be a tough one, but Bobby has the temperament to keep the ship on course and will hopefully be able to develop some of the kids. It would suck to see someone try to take over for Cox while taking over a weak club. You're almost guaranteed to fail in that situation.
In other news, Chipper Jones tied Hall of Famer Duke Snider on the all time home run list with his 407th against the Rockies tonight. That's some pretty good company right there. Chipper and Duke have surprisingly similar stats, but Chipper probably has a few years left in him though. Up next: fellow Brave Darrell Evans at 414. Congrats Chipper! Now go out and win that batting title!
