O Captain, My Captain

I have no idea what to say so I'll just post this.

Not many people other than Beefheart could pull off the vocals to that song. As unique people go, he was one of the uniquiest. So long Cap'n.

If there's any solace, the Ol' Captain is up in that big Utility Muffin Research Kitchen in the sky and jamming with FZ.

Man, I posted the same damn video to teh Facebooks. I'm still nowhere near as familiar with the Cap'n as I should be, but goddamn have I played "Willie The Pimp" over the years. "Hot Rats" on vinyl. Good shit. Even though he'd dropped out of site ages ago, a lot of people are gonna miss this guy.

Nooooo!
I'm a big fan of Beefheart & this makes me very sad. So many great records. R.I.P.

Yeah man, this is a bummer. I'm gonna go listen to "Autumn's Child" and weep quietly.
