Invader Zim has a 30 game hit streak after a single in the first inning of last night's game against the Giants. Once a hitting streak gets a 3 in front of it people start paying close attention. Barry Zito got him to ground into a double play in the first inning of today's game. Ryan should get at least three more at bats to extend the streak to 31. If he manages to do that he'll just need to hit in 26 more games in a row to beat Joe D. Here are the players Ryan can pass if he can keep hitting.

If he gets to 39, Paul Molitor territory, he will be a walking baseball media circus.
The Nats need some kind of media coverage. They aren't going to get it with thier win-loss record.
Zim rules! He signs a new deal and goes on a career best pace for HRs, RBIs, and BA. Gotta love that.
You jinxed it!
Totally jinxed it! He's on my fantasy team too...
For jinxing it, here's a story you should read.
