As a Met fan, I know how o feel. TERRIBLE!! Frenchy should have been cut loose long ago. The Braves hung on to their prospect too long and my Mets are grabbing at straws, trying to field a healthy team.
I was just looking over one of his cards you gave me. (getting the package made me feel better as my computer is still broke and I am still recovering from the ear ache from hell.)
In all fairness, it could be the best thing for Frenchy. A change of scenery, new batting coach and different set of fan expectations might might be just what he needs.
I think it'll be good for Frenchy. But a bad move to deal him within the division.
He's still young, there's still potential that he'll right himself and proove to be a very productive player. Why allow that to stay in your division when you're right on the edge of being able to make a run for it or falling off completely.
Frenchy would have been better dealt to an American league team for some almost ready prospects.

As a Mets fan I have to slap my forehead. I liked Church and he has potential. I totally blame Manuel's dislike for the guy for this trade.
Losing Ryan Church makes us sad. We feel sad.
